Fanvid of the Week: “The Heart Wants What it Wants”

Today, we celebrate the soldiers who have served and died for the good old U.S. of A. Even after the distressing news that came with the release of the new Captain America comic last week, I still want my two favorite fictional super soldiers, Cap and Bucky, to have that fairytale ending. Enjoy this super shmoopy fanvid below and cry with me over what was and what can never be.

Fanvid of the Week: Sidney Crosby “Heavy in the Back End”

Recently, my co-bloggers have been teasing me about my obsession with hockey butts. You know what? Yes, I love butts–just call me Tina Belcher.

If you’re wondering which hockey butt is my favorite, just watch this video. Don’t mind me, I’ll be watching it too (for the zillionth time).

Sorry not sorry.

ICYMI: The Ghostbusters Remake Looks Amazing!

The new Ghostbusters has been talked about ever since production and casting began, and I’ve been fairly ambivalent about the entire thing…that is, until I watched the official trailer. With an all-female cast recreating the 1984 hit film, the movie looks to be fresh, funny and well-put together. In an age when we get numerous remakes, reboots and revisions of movies we loved the first time, sometimes it is difficult to give the new take a try. I say, this one is worth the effort. The movie comes out July 15, 2016 and I’ve already got a date with my mom and daughter to go see it. We all are excited to be represented in a funny, intelligent film that doesn’t take itself as seriously as some of the fans would like it and I am HELLA looking forward to Chris Hemsworth as the eye candy assistant to these funny ladies.

If you haven’t watched the trailer, check it out below and let me know your thoughts in the comments.

The internet’s newest obsession is Jessica Jones,  a Netflix original series, and companion to Daredevil. We’ve been in love with Krysten Ritter since Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23 , and we’re loving her even more as the bad ass private eye, and now, thanks to our expert in geeky aesthetics, we can look like her too! -TC

Fanvid of the Week: Doctor Who, Buffy Style

Vidder: punkocarp

So I just scared the crap out of myself by opening a friend’s blog, leaving the room, and then running around frantically trying to figure out why my sister-in-law was watching BtVS with her newborn daughter (she wasn’t; turns out my friend’s blog has it playing in the background). The music prompted me to go looking for Buffy vids, and then, well, I saw this one and it was kinda perfect.

Doctor Who + BtVS theme = awesome.

Btw, this vidder has an entire playlist of opening credits done to other show’s themes. They’re pretty awesome and you should watch them all.
