Over the weekend, I binged on Russian cinema and found a few that I really loved, a few that I completely hated and few that I just had to share. Here are 3 amazing Russian films on Netflix that you need to watch, like, now.

Russian Ark (2002)

This single-shot, first person POV film gives a historical view of the St. Petersburg Hermitage Museum and it is a trip. Imagine going through your favorite museum and getting a peek into the historical uses of the rooms, the art and the grounds with over 800 actors. This is that film. It’s really weird and cool and an interesting starting point if you’re thinking about getting into Russian art history.
