Happy Spooktober, everyone! As has become my tradition over the past few years, I’m going to share some tips and tricks for a quick and easy DIY Halloween costume to make your friends and neighbors jealous!

This year, it’s Buffy, the most kickass of all the kickasses to ever grace our television screens. Now, Buffy had seven seasons and a lot of looks, but I chose to focus on the episode “Bargaining: Part II” also known as “Buffy digs her way out of a grave and still kicks ass.”

The Collectiva Diva and I attended the re-named Stan Lee’s LA Comic Con over the weekend, and it was one of our most anticipated nerd events of the  year. We had a grand time at Comikaze last year, and though the Mutineer could not join us this year, we had a marvelous time (get it? Marvelous…I’ll wait).

Happy (almost) Halloween, Collectors! Today I’m going to share with you costumes inspired by two of my favorite onscreen gothy gals: Morticia and Wednesday Addams.

I’m a big fan of the classic show and the movies, and it was at Comikaze 2015 that I remarked to the Mutineer that we could be the Addamses. I know y’all don’t know the Mutineer in real life, but trust me, she and Christina Ricci could be sisters.

Of course, we forgot the plan until about a month ago when we were planning work-appropriate costumes to wear on October 31 (yuck it’s a Monday). Then it became a matter of putting together what we call “closet cosplays”, or, cosplays that you compile out of stuff you already have in your closet. We may not match the films’ costumes exactly, but I think we came pretty damn close.

And then, because reasons, we took pictures in a graveyard. Like, you know, the Addamses would.

Happy (almost) Halloween, Collectors! Today I’m going to share with you a costume inspired by one of my favourite literary blood-suckers: Lestat de Lioncourt from Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire.

I’m a big fan of the novel and the movie, and it wasn’t too long ago that I remarked to a friend, with a tinge of regret, that there weren’t enough cosplayers paying homage to the decadent aesthetics of Lestat’s undead lifestyle.
