Our variance thus far: Loki has come face-to-face with the Variant he was helping Mobius chase…and (unsurprisingly) followed her through a portal when she didn’t provide the answers he wanted. Spoilers ahead!
Sometimes, certain episodes of certain TV shows are just so gif-reaction-worthy that we just have to succumb. Behold, my gut responses to the big moments in last week’s episode of Loki.
When Loki and Loki face off in the halls of the TVA
“I’m Sylvie now”
That blue turtleneck
When Loki and Sylvie chat about their mothers and magic
“A bit of both”
THAT SONG. You know the one.
The realization that the TVA brainwashes variants into minutemen/agents
The one-shot running scene
When Loki uses his magic to STOP A WHOLE ASS BUILDING
What comes next?
“Lamentis” leaves off on a classic Marvel cliffhanger…our antiheroes are stranded on this doomed planet, their only hope of salvation having blown up right in their faces.
I mean, maybe. If Sylvie actually is a version of Loki with wily enchanting powers, then it stands to reason that Loki can also wield that type of magic. There have been several theories out there that Sylvie bewitched him in an attempt to retrieve the tempad, but I think that the opposite might be true. What if Loki has tricked Sylvie in order to learn if she actually is who she claims to be? Or perhaps they really are stranded on Lamentis-1 and about to face certain doom…there’s only one way to find out. Will you be watching tonight at 12:00 am?
Loki airs new episodes on Wednesdays, only on Disney Plus.
