My Thoughts
Not so long ago, it was the tenth anniversary of the premiere of the very first episode of BBC Sherlock. Okay, technically the anniversary was back in June 2020, but I’m of the opinion that time passes differently now, so it’s totally fine that I missed it considering I’ve lived through ten months of March.
Anyway, to celebrate I’ve been reading a bit more Johnlock fanfiction than I usually do and came across this lovely Christmas story. Set during the current Coronavirus pandemic, John and Rosie are spending lockdown at Baker Street with Sherlock and Mrs. Hudson—but what begins as a practical bubble turns into something else when Sherlock suspects that John is planning something without him as the holidays approach. I won’t ruin the surprise for you, but it’s sweet and thoughtful and very awkward because it’s these two idiots being in love with each other, of course.
If you’re cool with reading Christmasy stuff in January, and if you miss these guys as much as I do, then this is a lovely way to imagine how the show might have ended. Happy sleuthing. ❤
