The Collective crew spent this past weekend at Gallifrey One, the most highly sought after Doctor Who convention in the United States. (It’s also the longest-running and largest DW fan convention in the world, but who’s counting?) While the convention always boasts multiple amazing guests, this year’s highlight for me was the presence of the ninth doctor himself, Christopher Eccleston. Seeing his panel and watching him engage with fans helped me remember why Nine is such an important and truly enjoyable facet of the Doctor’s history, even though he is consistently underrated. Keep reading to see my top moments from Eccleston’s era on Doctor Who.

Just this once….Everybody lives!!

Lots of planets have a north!

An ordinary man – that’s the most important thing in creation!

I can feel it. The turn of the Earth.

Have a fantastic Life

I give you, in return, air from my lungs.

That’s what I see. All the time!

I could save the world but lose you.

I’m coming to get you.

What have we learned? The first rule of Doctor Who: Don’t skip Nine.

Have a fantastic week, my fellow Whovians.
