Arthur wakes up and realizes the last ten years of his life have been a dream. He is nineteen, and he can barely remember where he is. What he can remember is the ghost of Eames’ hands pressed down on his chest trying frantically to stop the blood flooding up around his fingers as Arthur died (as he woke up).

my thoughts

I love these two idiots; I really do. I am recently converted to this ship, and I am beginning to wonder how I ever lived without it. And this fic, THIS FIC, combines everything I love about Inception fanfiction in 15,000 words.

The story is nonlinear, flittering between Arthur’s dream past and real world present. He spent ten years in the dream world, during which time he and Eames spent several years in a serious relationship. Unfortunately, when Arthur awakens, he doesn’t know how to find Eames.

Pining. So much pining.

It’s a little bit angsty, but big time romantic, and as always, these boys show their badassery all the while. I highly recommend it because it is well-written, well-paced and really good at characterization. Also, Arthur and Eames are adorable in it
