If you’re in the United States, today is Election Day. Though the midterms are often unfortunately dismissed by many would-be-voters as not as interesting or important as presidential elections, the decisions made today will impact our politics for the next two years. They will impact our lives, the lives of our neighbors and loved ones, and will even influence who will run in the next election. So as I encourage everyone to exercise their right to vote, I have this lovely song from Mary Poppins stuck in my head. Mrs. Banks would want you to vote, too!
-The Collected Mutineer
P.S. If you are in line when the polls close, DO NOT LEAVE! You have the right to vote if you were in line prior to the closure. For more information on the polling times in your state, visit Politico.
