#MotivationMonday: Dark inspiration from “The Addams Family”

by the Collected Mutineer

I‘m sure I’m not the only person who finds inspiration in the sometimes macabre (but always delightful) Addams Family. Whether you’re a fan of the original show, the films, the musical, or every single iteration, The Addams Family writers have always infused their characters with sarcasm, wit—and just enough dark truthfulness to make our inner goths happy. And the most important lesson they taught me? To just be me, no matter what everyone else thinks. Since Halloween is just a few days away, I thought I would share some of my favorite Addams quotes with you. May they give you the motivation to embrace your weirdness and go forth as a proud lover of all things spoopy.

Gomez: “To live without you, only that would be torture.” Morticia: “A day alone, only that would be death.”
