There’s a lot to be said in today’s political climate about female agency, capability, strength, vulnerability, and equality. In what is being called the era of #MeToo and #BelieveWomen, I have found inspiration in the heroines of my favorite comics. Their strength becomes my strength. Wanna save the world? Take some notes from these amazing women, and then go be your own brand of awesome.

“When you decide not to be afraid, you can find friends in super unexpected places.” —Ms. Marvel

“All we can do is our best, and sometimes the best we can do is start over.” —Agent Carter

“Which will hold greater rule over you? Your fear or your curiosity?” —Wonder Woman

“I believe there’s a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride. Even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want most. Even our dreams.” —Aunt May

“Now I know. Only love can save this world. So I stay. I fight, and I give… for the world I know can be.” —Wonder Woman

“If it’s the last thing I’ll do on Earth… I’ll make it something good.” —Black Widow

“I embraced who I am, and I don’t want to stop.” —Supergirl

“This isn’t a question of what I’m not. This is a question of who I could be.” —Captain Marvel

“I will fight — for those who cannot fight for themselves.” —Wonder Woman

“Knowing it’s real means you gotta make a decision. One, keep denying it…or two, do something about it.” —Jessica Jones

“In order to live, we must keep daring.” —Cat Grant
In all seriousness—to change the world, we must use our voices. Voting is one of the best ways to make yourself heard, loud and clear. If you live in the United States, please make sure that you are registered to vote in your state of residence. November 6 is around the corner!
