My Thoughts
I came for the Sid/Geno and stayed for the fae mythology and hockey hugs. Look, if you’re celebrating the Washington Capital’s Stanley Cup win and don’t absolutely despise the Pittsburgh Penguins, this is the fic for you. Sid and Geno make a few cameos, but this is mostly a Caps RPF, with plenty of screen time for Tom Wilson, TJ Oshie and the like. I enjoy a good mythological backstory and this fic is full of weird, fun, magical moments that make it a great read. Also, I’m honestly all about a curmudgeon Sidney Crosby and Nicklas Backstrom rivalry at this point in my life.
