Dr. Angelou was one of the most important women to have ever lived. Her work promoted tolerance, equality, and civil rights; her work and activism spoke out about civil injustice and it inspired many people to find courage to bring about change. Dr. Angelou was no saint, but she did a lot of good in her life. When I’m having a troubling day, and I feel like everything I do is ineffective and lost in a world full of apathy, I like to remember her words on courage:
It may seem like what we do is lost in the midst of all the turbulence around us, but we have to have the courage to keep on keeping on.
May you keep courage with you as you go through your Monday.
