My Thoughts

Every so often, I feel the need to torture myself and watch Firefly/Serenity and wonder what could have been.  Mal and Inara had the best will-they-won’t-they relationship on recent TV history.  The chemistry between the characters was on fire.  Their banter was top notch.

Suliven does a good job in this one shot of capturing the tension between these two when a massive rain storm traps them in a bar somewhere in the outer rim.  They drink, argue, play games, argue, drink, dance, and argue some more.  The storm knocks the power out and there is a stolen kiss in the comfort of the dark.

Beware, this story doesn’t have the happiest of endings.
