Power to the Polls: The Anniversary Women’s March and Rally Happening January 20 & 21

This weekend marks the anniversary of last year’s Women’s March, a coordinated event that saw hundreds of thousands of people take to the streets in order to call attention to women’s issues. This year on January 20th, all genders, identifications, orientations will once again march in cities across the nation in order to spread the word about the power of voting and on January 21 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Women’s March organization will hold the “Power to the Polls” Rally in Sam Boyd Stadium. The state, which became the site of the worst mass shooting in U.S. history in 2017, holds power to influence the Senate in 2018, according to rally organizers. Although there are no presidential elections until 2020, various city, state and federal votes are important. We need people to get out and vote into office those who support women’s issues such as education, healthcare, voting rights and immigration in order to create lasting change.

If you’re not sure where your local anniversary march is being held, visit the website here and register on Facebook so that the organizers can tally attendance.

If you make it out to Las Vegas for the rally, please let us know in the comments and remember:
