I have always appreciated Martin Luther King Jr. and that causes he fought for and the principles he actively lived, but this year I’m teaching a class on justice literature, and “Letter From A Birmingham Jail” has never felt so poignant, especially given the current political climate. I decided that today was a good day to share what so many others are writing about him today, and to encourage all our readers to take Dr. King’s message to heart: “True peace is not merely the absence of tension: it is the presence of justice.”
