Do you love hockey, hunks and hilarity? Same, queen! Same! Now that we’ve established that, let me tell you about Meg and Piper’s hockey podcast, Shut Yer Five Hole, available on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, and other podcast platforms.

The iTunes description tells us:

Serious sports analysts Meg and Piper dive into the heart of hockey, sharing feelings-based commentary and discussing the latest in hockey news! Spoiler: they’re not serious, nor are they sports analysts. They just really, really love hockey. New episodes every other Thursday!

Not only that, but for female fans of hockey, it seems as though the loudest voices extolling this knife-shoe ice sport are those of male dude bros who have Very Important Opinions. What I love about SY5H is that Meg and Piper remind me of my friends and I when we talk about hockey. They talk about scores, trades and fighting in the NHL, but they also mention Hockey Halloween, players’ dog-centric Instagram accounts and fanfiction–all of which make up the many reasons why I love hockey.

SY5H also recently premiered a YouTube show, Empty Netter, the pilot is featured below, plus Meg and Piper have a Patreon that offers exclusive content to contributors and a Threadless Hockey Shop with original design hockey gear. I literally just bought myself one of these cute floral design hoodies and a matching tee for my 3yo niece, who absolutely loves hockey and not just because I’ve been forcing her to watch since she was a few months old.
