The California-based hockey lifestyle clothing company, Violent Gentlemen, is hosting an art show in Southern California this month in association with Goon: The Last Enforcers. That’s right, friends. There’s going to be an art show based on the upcoming release of part two of the cult favorite hockey movie, Goon.
The August 28 show will be held at Anaheim Ice from 8-12am and feature original work by Gustavo Jaimes, Jay Weinberg, Luke Wessman, and more. Admission is free, and there’s no need to RSVP, but if you do, you’ll be entered into a contest to win a hockey stick signed by the cast of the movie. In fact, there will also be a private screening of the movie the night before the art show, but those tickets are sold out and I didn’t want to make you (or me) feel bad for not getting them. Not for nothing, but the art show will be held at the practice rink of the Anaheim Ducks, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Also, check out the Goon 2 trailer below. It was released in Canada earlier in the year, but will be released in limited US theaters and on-demand September 1.
