Gishwhes 2017: Day #4…ish

Well, it’s that time of year again. I think. I wasn’t sure what day it was today, until my cohorts reminded me that I was supposed to post a Gishy recap yesterday. Meanwhile, I’ve decorated fruit to look like a Marx brother, photoshopped a stormtrooper into a Country Joe McDonald picture from Woodstock, created a playlist for my teammates to listen to while they take Bearby Von Bearamucci on an epic road trip, and a bunch of other little things that I can’t even remember even though I literally just did them.

What’s the cause of my short-term memory and long-term confusion, you ask? Well, I’m working full-time this Gishwhes, which kinda puts a tiny cramp in my style. I wasn’t able to take any vacation time this week, but am still attempting to live up to my Gishy objectives. It’s exhausting, I’m not gonna lie. I’m not sleeping very well, and my performance at work is totally meh—but my mind is full of random acts of kindness, utter weirdness, and the wonderful people who make up team Mutiny in the Impala. I may not be able to remember everything we’ve done over the last 4 or 5 days, but I know I’ve had a freaking awesome time. I’ve made new friends, experienced yet again the rush of distinctly Gishwhesian adrenaline, and the best part? We’re touching people’s lives.

I don’t even know if this post makes sense. But here’s something I did today that is totally worth sharing. Let’s put smiles on faces, my friends! That’s what it’s all about.

Happy Gishing, friends!

xoxo,
