You know, I never actually thought that Gishwhes would end. I thought I’d be in my 80s, still making ridiculous sculptures out of tampons (will those even exist in 50 years or will we have evolved???). But here we are, and this is my last time captaining Mutiny in the Impala, and it’s bittersweet. Sweet, because my boss will be thrilled that there is no longer the possibility of me spending time at work writing an application for the “Director of Imagined Realities” or showing up with a zombie in tow. Bitter, because I will miss this mayhem.
But, let’s focus on the here and now, shall we?
Today, the Mutineer and I trekked down to the LA area to do some weird sh*t with one of our other teammates, who just happens to be the Frodo to my Sam. I don’t get her to see her nearly as often as I’d like because our schedules are horrible, and I’d like to take a minute to personally thank Gishwhes for giving us the kick we needed to see each other *gasp* twice in one week!
GIshwhes: bringing friends and families together since 2011 in the weirdest ways possible!
I’ve gotta say, building fake crime scenes and covering each other in syrup is not even in the top 10 weirdest things we’ve ever done, and this is her first year gishing. I can’t wait to see how the rest of this week turns out!
Best of luck to my fellow hunters!
