“Ant-Man & The Wasp” Buzzes into Production

Marvel Studios graced us with an adorable teaser this morning, announcing the beginning of production for the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). The clip may be only 14 seconds long, but it’s already totally in line with the humor that made Ant-Man (2015) successful.

It seems like forever ago that I wrote a review of Ant-Man, but I haven’t forgotten how pleasantly surprised I was by the film. It gave us both solemnity and absurdity, a solid heist storyline, and the fantastic chemistry between Scott and Hope. In this next installment, which takes place post-Captain America: Civil War, Scott is trying to find a way to balance his normal life as a father with his new identity as Ant-Man. A new mission arises in which Hope must don the Wasp suit and the two must work together to defeat the big bad. Not only will the sequel give us more of the Hank Pym/Ant-Man universe, but we’ll also get to meet Janet van Dyne (played by the one and only Michelle Pfeiffer). I, for one, can’t wait.
