How To Look Like Mystique: X-Men Apocalypse Tutorial

Hello lovely Collective readers! Katie here again, and today I am showing you how to transform into Mystique. This tutorial comes in preparation for the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie, and even though I don’t have the guts to wear it to the theatre, maybe you do!

This tutorial is actually much easier than you might assume, and definitely much easier than what Jennifer Lawrence has applied in the X-Men films. In X-Men: First Class she is wearing full body prosthetics that were so uncomfortable that she wore a bodysuit instead for X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

So, first things first. What makeup will you need for this tutorial?

  • Liquid Latex (Mine is Ben Nye, but you can pick up liquid latex at any costume store/sfx makeup website)
  • Blue Cream Makeup (Again, any costume/sfx makeup store)
  • Black Eyeshadow
  • Temporary Red Hair Dye/Chalk/Spray

Now that you have all your tools, you are ready to recreate this look for yourself! Check out the video below for the whole tutorial.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! If you did, like this post and please go subscribe! I will see all you lovelies next time.
