The Collective gals are training for another marathon writing session, but this time, instead of murder, we’re bringing you zombies. And we’re doing it in the name of charity.
On the weekend of October 3, we will be collectively (heheh) watching zombie flicks like Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, and The Walking Dead and (de)composing zombie haikus until long after these walking corpses should have fallen apart.
Last year, we wrote 12,000 words in less than 24 hours, and raised money for the Random Acts charity in the process. This year, our goal is to raise $100, but we need your support! Think of it as your good deed–give up one Starbucks drink and help make a difference in the world. I’ll even dedicate a haiku to you on Twitter. More enticement? Okay. If we make the $100 goal, I will dress like a zombie and dance to Thriller. In public. Or something.
You can donate to our zombtastic fundraiser here. Do it for Misha.
Update 16/09/2015: Random Acts and Coach Sergei have postponed E4K until spring 2016. We’ll write you haikus then!
