Friday, September 4th is Force Friday, the day Star Wars toys are unleashed on the world in order to celebrate the upcoming December 2015 release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Star Wars fans, toy collectors and purveyors of pop culture are flocking to stores everywhere in order to pick up the newest lightsaber, BB-8 Droid or Wookie plushie. I’m not much of a collector, but I love to buy things for my dog, and so my favorite Star Wars toys happen to be at Petco, a line I discovered at San Diego Comic Con 2015.

In May 2015, Petco began releasing Star Wars products for pets, and released 5 new items in the collection today, in honor of Force Friday. The Collective Bloggers were lucky enough to grab a couple swag bags at Comic Con, talk to the store rep and get the inside scoop on these adorable toys. If you’re a geek with a pet and want some cute gear, you’re gonna want to stick around. The new Petco toys, exclusively available at Petco.com/StarWars, feature the latest characters in the Star Wars galaxy, including the mysterious new villain Kylo Ren, First Order warrior Captain Phasma and smart droid BB-8. The products are only available online on Petco.com, until November 8 when they will be in stores as well.

In addition to these three new characters, the Star Wars Pet Fans Collection features an assortment of product inspired by classic Star Wars characters, including: Han Solo™, Darth Vader™, Princess Leia™, Chewbacca™, Yoda™, Ewok™, R2-D2™, C-3PO™, Boba Fett™, Stormtrooper™, Jabba the Hutt™, Jawa™, Death Star™, AT-AT™, Darth Maul™, Wampa™ and X-Wing Fighter™, among others.

The popular collection, which ranges in price from $4.99 to $49.99, includes toys, collars, leashes, pet ID tags, apparel and accessories, all of which are currently available at Petco stores nationwide and online at Petco.com. Beds for dogs and cats and additional home accessories will be available at a later date. With products available in sizes ranging from XS-XXXL, pets of all sizes can awaken the force and join the fun.
