Three Geeky Sesame Street Parodies You Didn’t Know You Needed

In the last few years, Sesame Street has raised the game in terms of how a children’s television show remains relevant and, let me tell you, this isn’t just a show for babies, anymore. In the age of the nerd, Sesame Street realizes that the next generation of geeky parents, older siblings and wee ones have so many entertainment choices, they have to hook us all in with our favorite fandoms. With stars like Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston and Lupita Nyong’o visiting set, musical guests like One Direction and Janelle Monae and skits like these, I swear this show will NEVER get old.

Enjoy my top three Sesame Street shorts showcasing some of my favorite stars from the show in very familiar fandom-ish settings. Not included on this list (for fear of overkill) are the Downton Abbey, Hunger Games, Star Wars, or LOTR parodies, which I also love. To enjoy all 27 hilarious Sesame Street parodies, visit the playlist here. It’s like watching SNL with grammar lessons and puppets.

1) The Aveggies- Age of Bon Bon

This is the newest parody on the list, and to be perfectly honest, I’m not sure I need to see the movie now.

2) Game of Chairs

*Snort*

Sorry, I can’t hear you over my maniacal laughing.

3) True Mud

Although the show is over, I still remember the first time Sookie and Vampire Bill met, that fateful night at Merlotte’s. This is exactly how it happened.
