NBC announced the network plans to push Hannibal season 3 into their summer lineup, most likely to try and boost slow summer ratings. Previously, the seasons aired in March, and it was thought the show would return with new cast members at that time. Added recently to the roster of the cult favorite is Richard Armitage as the Francis Dolarhyde, the “Toothfairy”–a vicious psychopathic killer in the Hannibal Lecter universe. Armitage, whom you might know from a little role called “Thorin Okenshield” (The Hobbit) is slated for a 6-episode story arc during season 3.

Unfortunately, it looks like we’re going to have to wait for the gore and UST* a little longer than we initially thought.

*I literally mean every damn pairing on this show EXCEPT Hannibal/Alana because nope.
