Hello, shippers. Today is a red letter day because 1) I’m actually allowing the Collectiva Diva to have an opinion about Fanfic Wednesday and 2) it kind of celebrates that faux holiday, Valentine’s Day.

Now, I think that V-Day is a bunch of PR spun by Hallmark to increase revenues, but if we’re going to celebrate love, I can think of no better way to do so than by shamelessly reccing my OTP: Destiel.

My Thoughts: I’m not usually one for AU fics but I apparently have a fluff kink. Librarian!Cas and Kindergarten Teacher!Dean are strangely canonical in character and as cute as they come. And boy do they come. Yeah, there’s smut, but…ok, I have no excuses. You should know this about me.

Baby’s First Pumpkin by allthebeautifulthings9828

Author’s Summary: Seven years after the angels were cast out of Heaven, the Winchester brothers finally have their own little families. Sam has two children and a third on the way. It took Dean and Castiel a while but they finally adopted their own baby girl, Mary Joanna. And since it’s her first Halloween, Dean is bound and determined to do it right even though she’s only four-months-old. The brothers take their kids to the pumpkin patch.
My Thoughts: Almost TOO cute to handle. Domestic Destiel, babies, holidays and not even a single sex scene? I’m getting soft in my old age.

My Thoughts: This should have been canon in season 9. I read it with tears of goddamn joy in my eyes at the end, I kid you not.

Author’s Summary: Dean is a pre-school teacher and Castiel Novak is his new student’s intriguing guardian. They both know the sacrifices that come with caring for others, but, over time, they learn what it means to want something for themselves.

My Thoughts: Again, with the teacher!Dean, I know. There is smut, there is glitter, there are babies. “Nuff said.

The Importance of Hallmark Holidays in the Ugly Sweater!Verse by nerdylittledude

Author’s Summary: All it takes is for Cas to assume that Dean has nothing planned for Valentine’s day for him to turn it into the best Valentine’s Day either of them has ever had. AKA: The one where Dean and Cas have the most cliche Valentine’s Day ever.

My Thoughts: The USV has to be my all time favorite fluff universe. The author has written a fic for each major holiday throughout the year, and apparently posted them on said holidays back when these were first published. This, the V-day story, is only the 3rd in the installment, so the couple is pretty new. Enjoy this one, go back and start at the Christmas story and then read all the way to the last installment. You won’t regret it unless, of course, you don’t like sunshine, puppies, love and all things shmoopy.

My Thoughts: OK, so this may be a bit self-serving, but my blogger wrote this as part of my Christmas gift, so how could I not include it? I currently have the original locked away in a trunk, an instant mood lift for whenever I need it.

My Thoughts: I have this one on my Best of Destiel rec list, but it’s SO FLUFFY I WANNA DIE. I mean, Cas as a kitten? CAS AS A KITTEN. This is fluffy in every sense of the word.

My Thoughts: So much cuddling. SO MUCH. I just can’t. Gah. Stop with the cute, boys. You’re killing me.

My Thoughts: I would sell everything I own to hear the Winchesters and Cas singing along to the Little Mermaid. EVERYTHING. I would topple governments, bust Adam out of hell, pluck Crowley’s nose hair, anything.
