Geek Chic: These Ain’t Your Mama’s Little Golden Books

Gallery Nucleus, located in Alhambra, California–just a hop, skip and a jump away from where I grew up–currently features an exhibit entitled “Little Golden Tales” which contains artwork that re-imagines modern sci-fi and television hits as classic children’s book covers. The exhibit, running at the gallery from January 18-February 9, features artwork of 30 different artists with pieces focusing on music, television, film, comics and more. Some of my favorite pieces are whimsical interpretations of pop culture that any good geek will recognize.

If you are in the Los Angeles suburb area this month and have an hour or two to spare, stop by Gallery Nucleus and let the art take you back to childhood and remind you why being an adult is so awesome.

      1. Wow….this is amazing!

Of course “The Little Doctor” has already been sold. 😦

One day I’ll visit America when all of this cool stuff happens. One day.
