Keeping with the spirit of all things Comic Con, today’s throwback is Christopher Nolan’s 2008 Batman film, The Dark Knight.
The film broke box office records in a weekend, and is generally acknowledged to be the best of Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The film received unasked-for attention when one of its stars, Heath Ledger, passed away six months before the film’s release. Ledger’s role as the Joker earned him a posthumous Academy Award and a place in movie history as one of the creepiest villains to ever grace the silver screen.
