I want to read this book, I really do. But much like the Doctor, I am bad with endings and have no idea when GRRM will finish writing the series. Honestly, I really don’t know if I have the stamina. I only heard of the A Song of Ice and Fire series three years ago and when I started reading, it was because I wanted to watch season second of the HBO Game of Thrones show. I have to at least try to go in order and so I wanted to read the first two books, watch the first season in a single weekend and then watch season two along with the rest of the world. It was GoT overload. Yes, that’s a thing. And these books are long! Still, A Dance with Dragons is the fifth book in a series of (supposedly) six, the sixth of said series not even written yet. Geez. This is turning into a thing. So, I’ve invested thousands of pages, hundreds of characters; experiences numerous deaths, births and dragons and yet I’m tempted to just give up. but alas! I shan’t. Even though I kinda want to.
