I can’t believe I’m typing this, but…
Bill Compton is the most interesting character so far this season of True Blood.

The arrival of the affectionately-named “Billith” is just what the show needs to make it bigger. Over the past seasons, we’ve seen the tension between humans and the vampire community grow sour, and now that the governor of Louisiana is experimenting on vampires (how else would they know to make silver-capped UV bullets and contact lenses to block glamouring?) and outright declared war on the undead, the vampire need a leader and/or savior (his progeny, Jessica, even prays to him at one point in last night’s episode). And, I can’t believe I’m typing this, it looks like Bill is just the vampire god to fit the bill.
Don’t get me wrong, Billith is still evil and unpredictable, but he’s an unpredictable evil that will serve a cause.
Which, finally, makes Bill Compton really fucking interesting to watch.
And, in fairy land, Sookie and Jason have made up and are working with their fairy grandfather to fight against Warlow, whoever the fuck he is.
Eric is schmexy and dresses up in nerd gear guaranteed to make hipsters ’round the world throw their undergarments at the television.

LaFayette is fantastic.
Tara is fucking annoying as all get-out (another missed opportunity for her to die!)
Do we care about anyone else? Nope. Not really.
